Slotnick supporting local values
Fred Stewart, Missoulian Letter to the Editor
In the 40 years I've lived in Missoula, I can't recall ever having someone with close connections to the land serve as county commissioner. As a small farmer here in the valley, I appreciate the fact that Josh Slotnick will bring his knowledge and background of farming to the Missoula Board of County Commissioners if elected.
His enthusiasm for the future of our community, and his previous service with the PEAS Farm and Garden City Harvest, make Slotnick an ideal candidate for this position. Unlike his opponent in this race, who has largely ignored the will of our local community and refuses to listen to us, I believe Slotnick is sincere in his concern and support for local values, especially those expressed in neighborhood plans.
In the coming years Missoula County will be facing many issues, such as affordable housing, preservation of prime agricultural land and open space, and how we maintain the quality of life we enjoy here.
We need someone who will actively listen to our input and use his energy and experience to get results. I hope you will join me in supporting Josh Slotnick in the upcoming Democratic primary race.
